BROTHER ALI vs. WHITE SUPREMACY part 39
As a result of the decimation of Native folks in the Americas, the Spanish didn’t have anyone to work the land and extract its valuable resources. This is where the Atlantic slave trade comes into play. (It should be noted, however, that the Atlantic slave trade did not begin with black Africans being brought to the Americas, but with Native Americans being brought to Europe by Columbus.)
As black slavery became more ingrained into the economies and psyches of Europeans, they had to come up with justification for what they were doing to fellow human beings. The Europeans had to whitewash history and deem black people non-participants in world civilization–if not outright subhumans. I will reproduce the quote from Count Volney about why black people were effaced from history of the world by Europeans:
“But returning to Egypt, the lesson she teaches history contains many reflections for philosophy. What a subject for meditation, to see the present barbarism and ignorance of the Copts, descendants of the alliance between the profound genius of the Egyptians and the brilliant mind of the Greeks! Just think that this race of black men, TODAY OUR SLAVE AND OUR OBJECT OF SCORN [my emphasis], is the very race to which we owe our arts, sciences…. Just imagine, finally, that it is in the midst of peoples who call themselves the greatest friends of liberty and humanity that one has approved the most barbarous slavery and questioned whether black men have the same kind of intelligence as Whites!”
THIS is the main reason for the racism that has infected the mindset of the “West” for centuries. This is the source of a vast racist mythology that has engulfed America. And we still see its effects in our society and its foreign policies. The HATRED of others because of relatively minor differences in physical appearance is not something innate in people. We see this with children. It is only after becoming indoctrinated with the racism of their parents or society that a child starts to hate others based upon their “race.” Racism is a disease of the heart, and it can only be treated by a person understanding what is the nature of this world and one’s true purpose is in life.
May God guide us and protect us from all sicknesses of the heart and defects of character.
