I am an American Sunni convert to Islam.  I was born in Newark, NJ; grew up in Springfield, Mass.; and went to college in Amherst, Mass., which i consider my “Home” in America.  Currently, however, i live in Memphis, TN, and i am involved with the da`wah (Islamic education and community service) here.

My interests include, reading and writing, holistic health and alternative medicine.  I also like to spend a lot of time outdoors; fishing is one of my passions. The objective of this site is to share with the general public knowledge about traditional Islamic knowledge—with a focus on Islamic Doctrine (`Aqidah).  I also will address various “controversial” social issues.  One of my main concerns is addressing the challenges of developing and maintaining an Islamic identity in America.  May God guide you and me to what is good.
